Recently our family purchased our dream home-a waterfront home on Lake Keowee. Phil Katchthaler was our realtor and he helped us through the entire process. The service Phil gave us was phenomenal. We first met Phil about 3 or 4 years ago. We were planning a short vacation through the upstate area and had read about Lake Keowee. After doing some research on line, we got in touch with Phil and arranged to meet with him and look at some properties. At the time, we were more curious than serious. We were mostly evaluating some long term possibilities for our future retirement. We had a home and business in Vermont and a second home in Florida and retirement is still many years away.

We were immediately impressed with Phil's low key, friendly demeanor and his knowledge of the area and Lake Keowee. In spite of the fact that we were not immediate buyers, Phil spent several days showing us various properties. He was very thorough and attentive to our likes, dislikes and comments. We were so taken with the area we returned several more times, and on each visit spent more time touring the area with Phil. As time went on, we started thinking that maybe we didn’t need to wait for retirement to make a change. But could we move our business too? Phil put us in touch with a commercial realtor who gave us other resources to explore and well - the rest is history.

In 2009. we began the process of moving our business to South Carolina. We asked Phil to work with our employees who were considering making the move to South Carolina with us. He gave generously of his time, acting as a guide and facilitator introducing our employees to the area, showing them homes that fit their budgets and their lifestyles and answering their many questions.

Our relocation to South Carolina was completed in October 2009 and we are delighted. Approximately 1/3 of our employees moved with us from Vermont and enjoy living and working here as much as we do. And with Phil's knowledge patience and advice, we bought a beautiful home on Lake Keowee.

While our story may be a bit unusual, we know first hand that Phil brings the same level of dedication, knowledge and service to each client he works with.
